Meet our team

Chris Hodges

Chris has been a head teacher and executive head teacher for 25 years, leading 6 different schools
over his career within 3 authorities and has a wealth of experience working in different socio-
economic catchment areas. This includes a period in Kingston when he chaired the working party to
start up Education Kingston prior to the merger with Richmond and creation of AFC.
He has 15 years experience supporting other schools and driving school improvement through
carrying out whole school or subject reviews, coaching senior leaders, assisting with preparation for
inspection or developing subject leaders.
Most recently he led a high performing school which successfully retained an outstanding judgement
in 2022 and was included in the Times Top 500 schools in England for 2023.
Chris is Ofsted trained and a local leader of education and has a long history of working with and
supporting other schools and colleagues. He has completed extensive training in coaching and
worked alongside many new Heads in their early years offering support and feedback.

Emma Turner

Emma is an experienced School Business Manager, Chief Financial Officer and an accredited School Resource Management Advisor (SRMA). 

Emma has worked across a number of schools including special schools supporting with budget management, financial reviews and integrated curriculum financial planning.

Income generation and funding is another area that Emma has supported schools with, along with helping schools with peer reviews.

Emma has worked across Academies, Maintained and Independent Schools.

Craig Smith

Craig brings over 20 years of teaching experience, including 10 years as a deputy head teacher in an outstanding school, to his role as a dedicated advocate for physical education and school sports. With a First-Class Honours degree in Sport and a BA with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Craig combines academic expertise with a passion for fostering physical development and well-being in students.
Craig’s teaching career spans schools across Surrey and Hounslow, where he has developed a reputation for excellence in both leadership and curriculum development. As a qualified and licensed athletics coach, he recently founded his own athletics club, where he is creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to engage with and excel in sports.
Craig has extensive knowledge of the primary PE curriculum and is well-versed in national agendas driven by the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England. He draws upon a broad range of networks and expertise to support schools in enhancing their PE provision and promoting a culture of active learning.

Caroline Hodges

Caroline has been a Headteacher for over 20 years and specialises in Early Years and has lead schools in the borough of Ealing.
